About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and community-focused individual to lead the development of our Women and Girls’ Cultural Programme, while also supporting the coordination of our wider youth work activity.
This is a key role within Ando Glaso’s youth and community work, with a particular focus on expanding opportunities for girls and young women. The successful candidate will help shape new activity, support engagement, and contribute to a safe and inclusive environment across our youth programmes.
The role requires regular in-person delivery, including attendance at youth sessions and community-based activity.
Key Responsibilities
Women and Girls’ Programme

Lead the development and delivery of a Women and Girls’ Cultural Programme, building on our existing community relationships and engagement with Roma women and girls

Support the design and delivery of activities with participants

Manage a small programme budget
Youth Work Support

Support the coordination, supervision, and delivery of Ando Glaso’s youth work activity

Work collaboratively with staff and freelancers to support consistent and well-organised sessions

Help ensure activities run smoothly and are accessible, engaging, and inclusive for participants

Support efforts to increase participation of girls and young women
Safeguarding & Good Practice

Support and uphold strong safeguarding practice

Help ensure activities are delivered in a safe and inclusive environment

Act as a trusted and approachable presence for participants
General

Build positive relationships with participants and families

Person Specification
Essential

Experience working with young people, including specific experience working with girls and/or young women

Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practice

Experience delivering cultural, or community-based activities

Strong communication and organisational skills

Ability to work in a community-led and participatory way

Ability to create safe, engaging environments for girls and young women
Desirable

Experience working with Roma communities

Eligibility
This role involves working closely with girls and young women.
